hmm, ride is getting the mods
Ok, hauled the ride to my mechanic, I am reluctant on installing the new khi intake cam just because of their past knowledge/experience. Also a first time for them to play with the khi ecu, (I have the adaptor and program). Basically, I want to know all numbers and play a part in the testing. They of course said no prob. I may not install the intake cam, but said bump up compression and lets "play" to them. The beet nassarts, khi kit, head gasket will be installed. After the stock/base run of course. Definitely a learning curve for all.

hahaha, I was looking at the curves of the cam differences. Listening to the techs. Thinking of the older h2's trying to make that same corner. hmm. I think that even though I may not make peak hp/tq, I will give it ago.
edit: Bring the ride to me instead of me chasing it! So to speak

Crap, the engine is still on the bench with the degree wheel attached! They had some other shop issues happen, so am patiently waiting!

Fired up the ride today at the shop with the shop door open. Had a nice loping rumble(106, 104 stock cam degree) and the exhaust was deeper in tone than I expected. Looked great! ECU is not programmed yet so looked abit on the rich side but will see under a load. Will dyno at the track tomorrow morning. The owner mentioned the cam tensioner/chain noise. I mentioned doing the backward clutch popping to adjust the tensioner. I do not want a manual tensioner at the moment until I see my bill at least. Will take the camcorder with me tomorrow during the test. I think that a wire got pinched for the rear left turn lamp. Constantly on while running. Anyhow, I am abit stoked!

Hey Dragone, I've been told by some insiders that Kaw's tend to have fairly hot (lift/duration) cams installed stock from the factory, and that going aftermarket probably won't get that much extra punch for the $.
I've also been told that bumping the compression is the way to go, and likely the least expensive. Any thoughts?
Hope your dyno run puts a smile on your face; good luck!
