Default crankcase vent mod

Hey guys ive got a 06 zx-10 with a leaking valve cover. Now i was told that this could be due to the crankcase breather and that i would need to do a mod. Is there any truth to that and if so whats involved?

Welcome to KF and congrats on the ride.

I am not sure on the crankcase breather mod idea. I have not modded mine yet and have not had a cover leak. How many miles on your ride? It would be nice to read up on this mod to see what it does or does not. Let us know.

Its running up on 12000 miles but its had a lot of aftermarket parts put into the motor so im assuming that it should be a pretty new gasket....just guessing. But not sure exactly how this mod is done but the benefit in my case would be lower crankcase pressure......so im told. Also talk of possible 2 hp gain??
