Default RE: 650R ?????????????

I think the racers won't touch the 650R becuase it's tuned more for the street than the track. It's powerband is lower in the rev range and it doesn't have that extemely high redline the supersports have. It does have the same torque down lowas the supersport middleweights and will keep up with them just fine up to about 80-100mph, but I think duein part to the fact that it's a twin and not a four cylinder it can't rev super high, which is not an issue unless you're on a racetrack, and in fact it get's better gas mileage because of it's low end powerband. Being a twin it has a funky offset 180/540 firing pattern to combat twin cylinder vibes. Having two big cylinders instead of four small ones it does have some serious torque that can throw you back in your seat if your just learning. I got thrown back, which threw my throttle wrist back, which made it almost impossible for me to make this turn when I was learning how to ride[sm=smiley18.gif]. I made the mistake of riding a little before getting my learners permit, so I hadn't learned essentials like to keep my throttle wrist flat, which is like pre-twisting it,to aviod accidentally goosing it like I did. I got lucky, you might not...but gambling sure is fun! It's agreat bike to blast around town on no doubt, and I also am hoping the thieves will "not touch it" either, ha ha.

Here's some shots of the '07 blue as requested:Edit-Oh dang, nevermind, I didn't notice how old this thread is[8D]
