Default 2006 650R

2006 Kawasaki 650R...

An amazing concept and a sweet looking ride. I love the twin-cyl powerhoss idea, even if it has no top end. But I'm curious if anybod has heard anything new about it? Kawasaki is languishing in the release of anything beyond its monologue on how great it is and basic, obvious specifications.

Does anybody have one? Does anybody know anyone who has one? How's she geared? you know..the works!

the bike looks ok but i don't like the tube frame they have on it. I'll stick with my 636. I'm sure there will be someone out there that will say that there 650 will be the 636. But we all know that's not true.

I hope someone comes along that has one! I'm really interested in this bike as my next one in a few years - just something about it is appealing to me

I love the look of the bike as well, but from the specs I can see several things...

1) proportionally underpowered - my 250 has 38HP and the 650 has 71HP at @2.5 times bigger, it also weighs more than the 636.
2) it probably will get good gas mileage however, due to the location of it's torque peak.

As a powerbike I would get the 636 hands down.
