er...um... whatever the case it will not be as balenced as an I-4, they are meant for hitting those high rpms... and, the 500's albeit fast are still just street bikes not super-sport. and if you want to impress your buddy who has a 100% carbon fiber/kevlar bi-weave 2007 maroon r6, just simply say you enjoy the ease of riding and the luxary of not having to worry about not giving all the throttle, not the complexity of hitting the 1/4 before a ferarri... and keeping the nose down...[&:]
