wrecked my 500r
so i was taking a trip to eastern maine on wed with my girlfriend to see her parents and about 45 minutes in my backpack i had strapped behind her got caught in the back wheel and locked it up at about 70 i slid upright for about 40 feet but lost it anirlsd the bike went down.... i have some questions about fixing it up
the left handlebar bent in and dent the gas tank, it looks like the handle itself unbolts with an allen head so i was hoping i could just change that out also anyone have any rough prices or the best way to get a new front fairing?? this ones cracked in a few places but i could prolly make it work. My buddy says the bike still rides so i wanna fix it, any tips on these 2 things would be great
my girlfriend went off the back and only got two scratches and a bruise i ended up with 13 stitches to my right nut and cant walk on my right knee, considering the speed id say its on though bike and i was amazed it was able to stay upright that long
thanks for any advice

dang glad your ok bro. sorry ot hear about your bike and your right nut[&:]as far as the clip on goes ive straightened mine befor by heating it up with a torchand bending itback. then dip in a bucket of oil to keep the integrity of the metal. ofr the other items i would check ebay.

hmm, besides saving one nut of the two, just gear up! Causes alot less pain. You are the experienced rider so check your load. ie passengers, and cargo. Make sure everything is in order.
Yes clip ons are easy enough to change out. Sounds like you may need some replacement bolts also. Hook up with one of our sponsors. We will go from there. Glad that things were not worse off for ya.

Well, you are on here, which shows that you survived the wreck. Glad to hear that. As for the rest of it, I'm sorry to hear than. Bikes will bite every now and then. Just glad it wasn't worse. Good luck getting your baby fixed!
