I can't give you any personal experience on Avon tires. That being said I'm going to try these next http://www.avon-tyres.co.uk/motorcyc...=tyres&met

Hope the link works.

Ok the link kinda worked. Click on General Purpose and take a look at the Road Riders.

Once again I have changed my mind. I went to the shop yesterday, stole their tire catalog and sat down with it to do a thorough search for about 20 minutes. I found some very low priced Maxxis, IRC and some Avons that are all regular sport tires. The difference is they are very well priced and I was told that all 3 are decent brands. I pretty much decided that Im going with a normal set after seeing just how inexpensive it will be........................ weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the research should definitely pay off

Actually, the research of seeing if you like the tires and your suspension setup along with your riding experiences with these tires is what is important.

To be honest, I havent messed with my bike too much. I just passed 7,100 miles on it. I havent changed anything with the suspension. Everything is stock, including the rear tire I replaced my first one with. I dont do very much hard riding, I just ride b/c I love it, sometimes I drive a little too fast but I dont hit the corners very hard and I dont ride in heavy rain at all. Im in Louisiana so I get about 8 good riding months and 4 that are crummy but I deal with it. As I get more confidence with my mechanical abilities I may try out different things Ive read on here, but what I really want is to leave my bike stock and then buy maybe a suzuki drz400 dual sport. One of my best friends has an 01 KLR 650 but its a little too big for my comfort, even though Im about 6'0 240 lbs.

Ive been looking at all the dual sports I can find, even the KLX 250, but its after market gas tanks suck. My price range is pretty low, Im still in college but I hope to start working within the next year. I like to buy new b/c then I know just how well it has been taken care of or dropped!!

If I stick with riding the way I have my first year I should get a job out in cali-it seems there are more people on bikes out there than anywhere else............ do alot of people water ski out there?

hahaha, I may have thought too much into what your expectations were. Right on in just being able to ride.
