Spring: The Season of Crashes
Just a reminder to you guys: take it easy and be especially careful if your bike has been sitting for the winter.
Those skills need warming up just as much as your bike does.
Seems like every forum I've ever participated in, the number of crashes always goes up in Spring.
Part of it is surely because of colder tire/asphalt temps, wet roads, remaining winter detritus on the roads, but please take it easy the first few rides while those instincts and skills recover from the winter hibernation!

Very true.
The gravel on the road is a MAJOR concern for anyone on two wheels especially early in the year. And as if the cagers weren't already dangerous enough, they have had the last couple of months mostly to themselves. So, they aren't used to seeing bikes around them. (Not that half of them even pay attention anyways.)

once again Im lucky enough to be in Louisiana where we havent had to slack off as much as the northern brothers weeeeeeeeeeeee lately Ive had a few people trying to turn left in front of me-I swear its almost like a 6th sense-see a car and know they are trying to hit you!!!
Damn good call CC, Here in Michigan we're getting swamped with snow right now so riding is out of the question but... I'm in my SUV and still worried about ******** who don't know how to drive in the snow... no offense to Asians, but here where I am, a lot of them are at the university -- aren't from this country, climate, driving culture and just drive like crap. Everyone else stay safe, especially you lucky SOBs who live south of this tundra.
