Actually, sitting in traffic is no problem for an air-cooled engine. If you parked a GS500 in the desert and left it idling, it would keep running for hours until the fuel ran out without causing damage. Air-cooled engines run richer than liquid cooled engines--they burn more fuel, but make less power. Completely different design.
