i had the same problem, except for it was when i did a wheelie, first off check your speedometer cable by taking a flashlight and following it up from the wheel and tracing it to your dash/display if you see that it is wobbeling around then you might have to take off your whole front plastics unless you have a tiny hand because it is almost impossible for me to reach up in to it, and after you take it off, make sure you will never have to do it again by blue locktiting the threads, and while you have your front plastics off (dont know the name of it), take a bottle of windex and a rag and hose and clean your whole front piece, and even if it is scratched lightly like mine was, wax it a bit... peace
