Yes, the Cortechs come standard with rain covers.
What doesn't make sense? That hardcovers with sharp edges are more likely to tear your leg off than soft covers in the event of a crash? Hard covers might protect you if you remained mounted to the bike in the event of a crash, like a plastic action-figure on a toy bike, but I've been separated from the bike in every single crash I've ever had.
Please explain how hard bags will protect a crashing rider. Or better yet, explain how they will be more forgiving when they come into contact with a riders arms or legs.
