For some reason or another I was ready to let her go. She was a 2005 with 6,050 miles and was sitll running great. However, I'm ready for a bigger bike and maybe even newer bike. I'm looking at the 650R and the Vulcan 900 Custom. Not quite sure what to go to next, but I have a good feeling it will be one of the two. Anyway, it was the BEST bike in the world to start out on and I'm so glad I did it on the 500R. I will recommend it to anyone getting into riding and have gained an appreciation for Kawi's and think I'll stick with them.

 

Based on what you're looking for now, I hope you get the 650R. And if you can't resist getting the Vulcan 900, I hope you don't end up next to me or another 500R at a stoplight, because we will walk casually away from you when it turns green.

Harsh words, CC. Its not all about speed, find something that makes youhappy shox. A few people have stepped up to the 650 from a 500, but personally I would probably step up to a 600 instead. But dont take my word for it, talk to the 650 guys. Good luck, let us know how you like the new ride.
