help with removing front wheel
So I got the new tire in yesterday for the bike and need some help with getting the front wheel off. I pretty good with car and from the looks of the bike it does not appear to be that difficult however the part that has me stumped is the on one side of the wheel is the cable that tells you how fast your going...is there anything special that I need to do with it????

when you pull the axle shaft lower the tire gentaly and it will come out. the whole procedure is loosen the pinch bolts 12 mm below shaft lossen the speedo drive side nut and pull the axle thatts all I did and have had the front tire off a couple times in the last month or so takes a little work to finness back together.

Another vote for using caution when reinstalling the front wheel and speedometer assembly! I ruined one (and a speedometer cable) when I failed to notice that the speedo assembly has a slot that slides into a groove on the left fork. Then when I tightened the axle nuts, the whole assembly rotated around and put a kink in the cable!
So align the slot into groove in the fork, and be sure to watch the speedo cable when you're tightening the axle nuts. I was fortunate enough to have a spare from my wrecked bike, but you might not.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Peace!
