Okay so Im new to the forum and I don't actually have my bike yet but I have just put down my deposit and will have it by the end of the month.
I bought a new 06' 500r because it was $1000 less than the 07' model and its exactly the same bike excepts it is red instead of silver.he

So since I saved $1000 I think I will do the exhaust mod since thats the one I have heard the most about and it seems to be the one which will increase the bikes performance and sound.

My question is what exhaust should I get, brand, size, place to buy?
I it easy enough to install it myself or should I have the shop do it and what do I have to do the the carb once I install it.

Any other performance mods I should be installing to make the bike better.

I think i have pictures of my black with the carbon fiber sarachus somewhere...check my gallery. Very easy to put on (they are slipons). Makes the bike sound mean.

hey man... haven't seen ya on in a while...Get any more mods for that 500?

 

wich is the reason to drill the airbox? what effects does it have on the bike behaviour? I mean at low RPM and at high RPM.
