Default Clutch Cable

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if there's a way to tighten the clutch cable on my Ninja 500r so that it'll grab sooner? Right now, it's start to grab when i'm almost done releasing the clutch, which feels a bit too far for me.

Thanks

Nuzz, check both ends of the cable (lever end and engine end). There should be either a threaded adjustment wheel coming off the clutch lever, or some manner of adjustment on the engage/disengage pivot coming out of your engine. Make sure your actual cable is in good shape; sometimes (lube) neglected ones can get very brittle. Keep 'er slick.

Is there a 5 way adjuster **** on the bar as well?

Cables do stretch and do need maintained, but normally 2-3mm clutch lever free play is recommended.

Just a lil play in the lever will do ya. That will tell ya that its in engaged all the way. Nothin worse than a super tight clutch lever. I like some wiggle room.
