Broken Clutch Cable

Broken Clutch Cable
Was out and about on my '81 KZ 750 LTD today---
I was about 6 or 7 miles from home when my clutch cable snapped as I was stopping for a light.
The bike stalled out.
Scratched my head for a while and stared at the cable wondering what to do.
I was able to shift her into neutral and start her up
Got her rolling anddiscovered as long as I'm really gentle with herI can shift at around 2500 RPM without the clutch (careful -- very gently!!)
Rolled through 2 stop lights and 2 YIELD signs and made it home -- without stalling even once!!
(and without damaging the transmission gears!!)
Now the hard part. I'm going to install a new cable. I figure if one's rotten then probably all of themare.
I'll read through my Service Manual and my Clymer Manual, and order the parts online
Any suggestions from anyone who has done this?
Clutch cable?
Brake cables?
Throttle cable?
(I think that's all of them - am I missing any?)
Any major pitfalls anyone out there has encountered?
Thanks
Dave

RE: Broken Clutch Cable
Just pay attention as to which cables go where on the throttle. You might want to lube them before putting them on also. I've found that paying attention to the routing of the cables helps. Good Luck.
