Default RE: Best Sounding Exhaust??

I just bought a set of the Carbon Fiber Sarachus. They are significantly louder than the stock exhausts. On the highway, I really don't notice it, but around town...they are pretty loud. I haven't heard it from off the bike yet, but my friend says that you can hear it, but it's not obnoxiously loud. I will see if i can get some videos of myself riding by in the next few days.

As far as installation, putting them on wasn't hard at all. You'll need to get new brackets for where the exhaust mounts to the header pipes (stock ones are bigger) and you'll also need to bend the brackets that were included (different brackets - metal or carbon fiber), but other than that, it was very simple. For the carbon fiber brackets, i was able to mount these outside of the footpeg. They fit inside as well, but the exhaust did rub against the frame/suspension. I believe it would've been easier to use metal brackets since metal bends better than carbon fiber.

PM me for any pictures/video requests.

No, I think the stock exhaust is far too quiet for folks to notice you in traffic. This is the reason the Sarachus will be my first upgrade. I'm going to be commuting 22 miles (each way) in pretty heavy traffic. I can't count the number of times that a loud exhaust has alerted me to a motorcycle that was driving in my blind spot. Most modern cars are so well insulated that they just wont hear you. Quite honestly, a louder exhaust is a safety feature.

Stock exhausts are definately too quiet. They also make the bike sound like a lawn mower. The Sarachus definately sound mean. I just heard mine from off the bike, it's not obnoxious, but it will definately turn heads.
