aluminum wheels?

RE: aluminum wheels?
Great news! Kawasaki makes aluminum wheels for this bike and they put them on the bike for you at the factory at no extra charge.
Seriously, they're aluminum.
As far as the wider rims, it would be much more cost effective to simply sell your bike and buy a 600 or larger bike that already has those things. I've heard of some track guys using entire front ends from a certain model of Honda CBR600, and having custom-made swingarms installed to accomodate a wider rear wheel, but why? The amount of traction gained is really negligible for road conditions anyway.
If you're getting gym-shower anxiety about the width of your rear tire, get a 600.
Peace!
