Never heard of anyone doing that particular swap. I wouldn't bid on Ebay until you've found out for sure.
I've seen plenty of "Ultimate Sleeper" projects where guys have cobbed together an apparatus of parts, homemade billet aluminum motor-mounts (or sometimes less sturdy materials they happened to have) to shoe-horn a ZX9R engine into a ZX6R frame.
They look terrible, and they are frequently unloaded on some poor sucker on Ebay because they handle like a pile of parts, rather than a nice, tight stock assembly as the stock machine is.

If you're a born-tinkerer and love to spend money and time, experimenting and learning it would be a neat project. But if you're doing this because you're short on funds and need something to ride, I'd sell whatever parts you have to raise money to buy either a used, complete 250 or 500.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Peace!
