I'm in the same boat - no reason to upgrade as of yet! What do you have for saddle bags? I was thinking about getting something like that in case I do a road trip, tank bag wouldn't really cut it for that. And I'm not into using a back pack for several reasons.

I bought a set of the soft sided cortech sportbike saddlebags. They can hold almost a weeks worth of clothes and some sundry items. Cortech also sells a tail bag that can be clipped to the saddlebags to give you even more storage. I really like them alot, they don't extend past the width of my mirrors so I can still split lanes without worrying about brushing up against cars, they are light, and they are easy to attach to the bike. They also have a heat shild on the bottom of the bag with reflective material so your exhaust won't melt your stuff and cars have a better chance of seeing you. They are a pretty good deal all the way around. I think I paid about $125US for them.

Sweet! I'm actually glad to hear that is what you have, the guy that does the work on our boat also sells some motorcycle stuff - and Cortech is one of the things he sells. He's already told me if I wanted anything, he'd give a bit of a deal on it!!

I might have to get him to price me up some ---- one of the first things on my x-mas list maybe!

They are good quality, and all their stuff comes with raincovers. the saddlebags and my tank bag are all cortech, I really like their luggage line. If you can get a deal on it...go for it. I originally purchased my bags so I could do light shopping without having to drive my truck.

I hear ya on the light shopping - last night I had to pick up some milk, wasn't much room left in my tank bag!! If I can get away with taking the bike for those 'extra' trips out, I take it every time!

Careful, pretty soon you'll start forgetting things on purpose so you can go back to the store on the bike. "oops! I forgot to get the milk and cookies again...I guess I'll just have to make a quick run to the store...on the other side of town" lol
