Default 1...2...3, GO

I bought a 2004 Ninja 500r from someone who took a spill yet somehow managed to keep the bike upright. The entire left side of the front fairing is torn apart but a little fiberglass should do the trick. A bent clip on needs to be replaced but other than those two things there really isn't much else needed. Except for a bigger tire (150/70-17 i believe) to get the additional surface area. For $2000 I figured it was a steal so needless to say I'll ride it. My reason to post is basically to find the tracks in or around the NY area. I'd love to read about all other tracks who welcome 500r riders around the country and further as well because this could be a hobby someone like myself can enjoy. Additionally, if there are requirements, such as a liscense or rulese to ride by, etc. i'd like to know since safety is an issue for me and needs to come first. So far the forum has been a blast to read and I look forward to enjoy more good times. ABC ya.

Regarding the rear tire, you need to go with a lower profile 150/60-17 for clearance reasons. Lots of racers use this size and you'll see it referenced in quite a few threads.....

Good luck!
