What is the actual top speed of a 05-06 250? I have read different posts that say that they top out at around 85 mph but when i went to check them out in person the speedo goes to 130. I am just curious to know, is the speed govorned at 80 ish or will it keep going.

I have had my 04 up to 105 downhill with a tail wind That is fast as I could get it to go!

Same here....lol no joke! i was juuuuust over 100 with a tailwind slightly downhill... and my 3 other roomates have R6's n a gixxer....hummmm

 

110 but the back seamed to "lift and wander"

 

I still haven't been past 65 yet. But I'm sure the bike will easily do 100mph with me on it. I only weigh 135lbs. And the bike pulls pretty hard to 60mph.

 

meh, i think i've gotten to about 85 or 90, but i don't have fairings so it could be faster I assume

 

I just got mine up to 85 today and it had plenty more left in it. I was just on a road where I didnt really want to get up much more than that. Also I am still in break in so I dont want to come anywhere near redlining it.

 

hey guys, bikes have crazy acceleration but then you reach that magic number. Oh it'll keep going for 10 more mph.. but itll take you like 2 minutes to get that last 10mph and finally get to your bike's limit.

 

6'3", 205lbs, and I can get 85 on straights, 105 on downhill... if I fart
