I haven't heard anything about the front brake line and the obstructed air box vent hose, but it's good to know. I just bought my a wife one in black, and the only recall we heard about the tail light. We were told that Kawasaki had to take them all back to Japan for the recall before they've put them out in the market, and for this reason, the bikes didn't come out till just recently. But I'll definitely keep that in mind. Thanks.

So I have one question? Does this mean that all the 2008 250r are recalled or just the ones that were released earlier this year? Because the dealerships have plenty of them now, so I don't know why they would have so much if they were all recalled. Plus I didn't get a letter from anyone and I went on the Kawasaki site and they did not mention anything about a recall. Now I am kind of nervous lol.

if you didn't get a letter, im assuming that yours wasn't recalled. just go check on kawi's website with your VIN.

So if you go in to a dealership, they are supposed to provide documentation on whether that particular bike was recalled or not and have papers showing the work done on it, correct?

PS, upon my researching, here is a link to for info on the recall:

Hey all I just want to say that sucks. Hope everything works out for everyone. I have been reading some articles on the 2008 and I must say it sounds like they really firmed the suspension up and it def looks awesome. I sure want one but Im not pissed I didnt wait another year and a half, I like having an 07, one of the last of that generation. I think its kind of neat in its own right. Besides being light, I can hustle it wound corners damn fast and have had almost no probs with the front forks bottoming out. Heck even with a buddy of mine on it and the weight maxed out its still a hoot to ride, lol. Anyways good luck to all u 08 owners, enjoy!!
