Looks good how much did the fairing set you back?
I know what you mean about putting them on to see what it looks like.
I modded the paint on my tank and installed a blue doubble bubble windscreen. Im still working out some idle issues so I didnt actually install the fairings I just couldnt wait to see it all together so I put them on for a looksee. Hopefully fri I can finish my project.

I got her running lastnight! I got the carbs back from being rebuilt and I had tried to start the bike with no luck. I let it sit for a few days because I weas frustrated with it and I was sure I would have to take it into a shop to get it started. Then yesterday just for ****s and giggles I tried a little starting fluid into the air box and it fired right up, and then ran fine on it's own. I have done repeat starts without starting fluid and it fires everytime. I took it for a quick spin up and down the driveway, just to try it out. Keep in mind that was my first time ever riding a bike. It wen't very smoothly, although I didn't get it out of first gear. I love the way the muzzy sounds, it is loud. I will try to get a sound clip for ya.

So I got her all assembled minus the mirrors, which I am in the process of painting. I took it to a local park that has a large parking lot, and drove it around for about an hour. I don't have it on the road yet, so that is the only way I can drive it for now. It was my first time really riding, it was very simple, and came quite natural. I practiced breaking, figure 8's and cornering, upshifting and downshifting. I had a blast.
