Default oil changes?

Hey all, I am fairly new to riding and have a pretty new 07 250. got about 300-400 miles on it. When should change the oil on the badboy? every how many miles?

on a side note for all non 08' 250 owners......how do you guys get by without a low fuel light indicator or fuel gauge!?! do you guys fill up every 170 or so miles?

thanks

congrats on the bike! Maintenance info should be in your manual. 08s have a fuel gauge.

Since you've waited this long already, go ahead and get the oil changed when you get the 500-mile valve check done. I changed my oil at 43, 343, and 1000 miles, switching to synthetic at 1000. (Then I sold the bike). Given how hard this engine works, I would change the oil every 3000.

Like clockwork, it would start sputtering at or around 200 miles starting from a full tank. This can vary a little depending on how you ride and how long you warm up before rides.
