Bluebird,I will, and I do!I've done some minor mods to the KLR and I think I'm gonna order the Big Gun complete exhaust for it soon.I shouldn't cause it will lengthen my wait for the Ninja, but I don't think I can resist.Somebody help me!!I'm a Kawasakiaholic!!

Well here's what I'm thinking about doing for a muffler instead of the Big Gun system. This should probably be in the KLR 250 forum but since you said not to get the BG system here I'll post it here.I've come upon a brand spankin' new, still in the box, FMF Powercore 4 Q for a KX250F.I posted it here for sale but if nobody wants it I'm going to have a pipe made to put it on my KLR.I don't know if it will run worth a crap with that muffler as I know nothing about muffler engineering, but I'll try just about anything once.

@ 70mph, your tach should be hovering around 8,00-8,300 RPM.

... and 8500RPM is waaay south of "pegged" on a Ninja250! I've put over 800 miles on my new '06, and the engine just sounds "happy" at those RPMs. I have read about a LOT of folks who commute and have changed to a 15-tooth sprocket to reduce that slightly, though. I just don't think it's necessary unless you are going to do a whole lot of interstate travel.
