Do all ninja 250's have noticeable engine noise at idle. Kind of like a knock? Just wondering cause thats what i hear from mine and i have never had one. It sounds and runs good when driving it. I also changed the oil but i was just wondering if they are supposed to sound like that. thanks in advance. ben

Yeah, mine does it too. Don't worry about it, this engine is tried and true. They will go forever!

 

I know kawasaki made there engines lighter by thinning the engine casting in the 04 to present 10r's not sure if it goes for the rest of the kawas, but I wouldnt dought it. And with thinner casting allows for more noticable engine noise. I wouldnt worry unless it is knocking to were you can feel it.
