Default ebay.......

i'm bidding on bikes like crazy.......basically if they are within 150-200 miles where i live, the cost is reasonable in comparison to the new bike.......(not gonna pay 2800 for a used 05 when a 06 is 3k new) in any event, i have bidded on about 5-8 bikes in the past half hour, im guessing im gonna get outbid on all of them, but theirs a chance i may win one. i have bidded on cheap 250's, 500's, and 600's. i was wondering what you guys think of ebay.

Hi! Personally - I have never used ebay - I have heard of people getting awesome deals but I have also heard of people getting completely screwed. So I can't offer an opinion on that. But as for the four bikes you are looking at - I like bike # 1 (but then again I'm biased there!) From the looks of it, that one is priced fair. Bike 4 (personally, I wouldn't bother, been modded too much - hard to say what else has been done to it)

I guess really all I can say is good luck! Hope you manage to get your hands on one of them!

Steve,

Have you looked on craigslist.org. Probably the best way to find more bikes that are local to you. Sure, there's scammers everywhere, but at least you can arrange to take a look at the bike in person, versus going by a picture. I like to use eBay to buy gear, accessories, etc., but I'm still leery about not seeing the product before sending my hard earned cash.

Good luck to you.

Bike # 3 looks like the best deal, depending on reserve..... No mods done, clean bike, still has the undertail and factory exhaust. doesn't look like it's been laid down, and you have the remainder of the warranty...... If you do win her, make the deposit via paypal, which is $500, then look at the bike in person with cash in hand. You live close enough... then if the bike is not up to standards, you can get your $500 paypal deposit back easily......

Then again, for not a whole lot more money, you can get a brand new one....

i could get this 500, for i'm guessing a reserve of 2500-3000. or i could get a brand new 06 250 for 3k. also i'm leaning towards bike three aswell, i mean bike one has a muzzy exhaust and a couple things here and there. i would say both the 500's seem like decent deals. if not i can always just purchase a new 06

so guys, my bid is at 2500 and it says reserve still not met, the most i'm willing to pay is 2700-2800 for this........ http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEBI%3AIT the way i look at it, their can't be much if anything wrong with it, it has 2 years left on teh warranty (that's transferrable right?) i think the max i would go on this bike is 3k, because i would pay around 3200-3400 if this falls through and i buy a new 06 250. what do you guys think?? bidding ends in 2 days, and the guy is about 100 miles from me........gotrice, walight, others? do you think 3k would be a good deal for that bike.......04 500....5200 miles, 2 years left on warranty (not sure if i could get it transferred to me) his inspection still may be good, so that could save some costs. basicall what i'm asking slightly used 04 500 ><= 06 250 (if the price of the 500 comes out to be 3k. long post sorry, but i don't wanna make a mistake/regret what first bike i purchase. opinions, thoughts?
