Disc brake attacked

When you find out who did this, save the old disk so you can shove it where the sun don't shine! I am sorry to hear that happened. They must have daddy issues.

Thanks for the info about the disk brakes. Do you have comprehensive insurance (covers damage while not in motion)? Putting a claim against comprehensive shouldn't raise your rates since you have no control over what happens. Mine is $250 and would be worth it if I was planning on paying someone to replace it for me.

Hiya mate,

my insurance would cover it but the excess would be more than the cost of replacing it. It's replaced now and a few mates came over to help me take the wheel off and fit it, which made me feel a bit better about the whole thing.
I have saved the disc so I can insert it into whoever bent it if I ever catch them. Should just be glad the lock held up I suppose!
