Exclamation Disc brake attacked

Hi,

Over the weekend someone has had a right go at my front disc lock. They've failed to remove the lock but have completely warped the front disc

Now the front disc won't even roll past the forks. I can't find anywhere online to buy a replacement and my dealer is quoting £211.00 (about $420) which seems a bit steep!

Anyone know of anywhere that stocks them or has any help to offer? It's a 2008 Ninja 250R.

Many thanks!

Jon

Sounds a silly price.

Nothing on e-bay? Otherwise, try the breakers. Ads in MCN and reachable by telephone.

btw - at current exchange rates £211 is about US$320.

Stinking punks!!! I don't hate much, but people messing with other people's stuff, that burns me up.

Thanks for the replies Rob and Deej. No nothing on e-bay and I can't find anything on google either

I'll have a look on mcn and keep searching. It's not looking good though.

Burns me up when people mess with other people's stuff as well. Even if they'd managed to get the lock off, you can't ride it now anyway! Morons

Could be clutching at straws here slightly... but if I banged it back into shape a bit with a hammer so it looked a bit less vandalised... you reckon the dealership would believe it was a faulty brake system and take it back in under warrantee?

Picture attached. Looks worse in reality sadly

Don't think you'd get away with that. What about your insurance?

For anyone else wanting replacement discs...

Finally found somewhere that does them. Apparently better than the original discs and at half the cost that the Kawasaki dealership was quoting.

Mine are on their way from here;

http://www.bitzforbikes.co.uk/EBC_Co...9329-2496.html

But I guess you could probably get them directly from EBC or other suppliers of EBC brakes.

I got the garage to send me a picture and they look similar to the attachment below.

Cheers guys!

Do not run that disc. A drastic accident waiting to happen
