bike warm up time

how long do u guys let ur bikes warm up? reason im asking is cause was alittle cold out 2nite let the bike warm up for bout 10 to 15 min was driving home and it died 2 times... wasnt me stalling the bike it just died...

That is a long idle/warm up time. Same topic has been covered in previous threads.

Above 60 degrees I will let it warm up for about 30-50 seconds before taking off. It still won't have the best idle for another minute or two, but that's how I do it. Below 50, I let it idle with the choke until it is able to idle on it's own, then for another 3 or 4 minutes. If you keep having problems with cold idle, just turn the carb idle adjustment **** slightly. I adjust mine accordingly for every season/temperature change.

I warm up maybe for 1min or 2. I usually start the bike, put in my ear plugs, helmet, glasses, and gloves. THen take off

5 min tops without choke above 60 deg., 5 min with choke below 60. Hope this helps.

By that, I assume you mean what RPM range I adjust it to. About 1200-1300 RPMs during the summer. Once it becomes consistently cold outside, I usually set it to idle at about 1400-1500 RPMs. I ride year round from 110 degrees down to 28 degrees. These settings seem to work best for me.
