bike turns over then dies?? help!!
okay heres the problem. I just bought a brand new 07' ninja 250 and the damn thing stopped starting. Ive been riding it succesfully for like 2 weeks and it wont start now. To be honest I'm learning to ride it. I have been stalling it alot, and learning the clutch. I took it out one day and i stalled it, I tried to start it and it just turned over but wouldn't fire up. After a few times of trying to start it,itbegan to die. it would turn over once then click click click. then just clicking. So I let it sit for a while and again it turned over once, then click click click. now Every time I try to start it it does the same thing, turns over once then click click click. All the lights light up so its not the battery. Any ideas? thanks for the help guys.

welcome to KF willus772.
what you are showing are signs of a weak~close to dead battery.
the lights still turn on because they do not require that much power, but it will soon die. the "click" is the starter trying to engage but not having enough power to turnover, i suggest you go to wal-mart and purchase one of their 25 dollar battery chargers, and plug in your bike to that thing, it will take about 6~8 hours but it will charge your battery.
when you start and stop the bike like that it tends to suck too much power from the battery, the ninja250r is really happy at around 9000+rpm and that will keep the battery charged, and since you mentioned that you are learnign how to ride, i am assuming that you are probably keeping it below that range.
good luck on the bike, be safe and gear up, especially if you are just learning now.

yeah dieing battery - get a battery tender (shuts itself off when the battery is charged so it doesn't boil off the battery if you leave it on all winter)

Ran out of gas then killed battery...
I did the same thing when I got mine. Next time switch it to reserve because it doesn't take much trying to start it before the battery dies doesn't have enough power to turn the starter completely (click..click...), though the gauges will still work.
Now get a motorcycle battery tender/charger, make sure it's not one for CAR batteries! About 29.99 at any motorcycle dealer.
And welcome!

Yup; battery. Maybe; gas. Doubtful; fuse/electronics. Usually the click, click, click is a battery issue. May want to check your plugs if you're REAL bored... (Just to see the deposit color.)
