Bar ends

Default Bar ends

Ok well im new so, but i cant get the bar ends off. I habe tried everything. So any ideas would be appreciated. Also does anyone know where i can get a pair of used ones. I have already ordered new bar ends but just cant get the new ones off to get the new grips on...

Well those bolts on the end are held on with red loctite. Nasty stuff... I get them with a hand impact with the right size phillips head socket.

what about just drilling the screw out since i already have new ones with new hardware

The threaded insert stays in the bar and the threads are quite long like 2 inches. If you have the ability to drill it out and not messing up the threads go for it.

Heat and a #2 drywall bit, I used a blow dryer because I didnt want to melt the throttle part under the grip so I didnt use a heat gun.

However to replace the grips you dont need to remove the bar ends. You have to cut the end of the newgrips open anyway, they dont go between the end and bar.

Just cut the old grip off carefully not to cut the handlebar then cover it with aqua net extra holdharspray slide the grip on, wait a few hours and your good to go.

Trust me hairspray is the way to go.

but i already bought new bar ends because mine are striped and stuff and all scratched up but if worst comes to worst i will use your way thanks anyways and any help appreciated
