30amp main fuse Blows
Heres a weird one - 96 ninja 250 - Today i was riding along, out of nowhere everything shuts off, motor dies, no lights no nothing.
Found the 30amp main fuse blown. so on the side of the road i changed the fuse, dug around at some of the wires, didnt find anything obvious.
Started right up, idled fine, as soon as it revved over 5k it smoked the fuse again. Tried one more fuse, same thing 5k - dead.
So we just hauled it home. now that its cold and sat i ran it for about 10 minutes in the garage and its been fine - with a 10amp fuse in place of the 30 - just to see if it would kill it quicker, but its still running.
So im lost on where to look or what to test as to what could be shorting when it gets hot causing the main fuse to blow.

Check your Regulator/Rectifier/alternator. My first thought on this. Good luck
reading at 4000rpm says 45volts of the alternator. page 15-14 of your manual. page 15-16 for the rectifier chart.
