Default 2006 250R

Well, I was looking to buy a new 2005 when I heard that the 2006 was supposed to look pretty awsome. Does anyone have pictures of these new bikes? If so would you email them to me bbjay351@yahoo.com. Thanks

I had been checking everyday and they finally put up the 2006 about four or five days ago. I think I'm going with the red one. They look hella awsome for a small bike. I went and got my permit today and plan on being on a bike in the next few weeks. Very exited about this but kinda nervous at the same time. I'm gonna sign up for that class and try to figure out what kind of gear to get. The only problem I have with the pants is, when I go to work on the bike, I'm wearing a shirt and tie. So, not sure if it's possible to wear. But any suggestions as always are appriciated. Thanks all.

You should have no problem with pants, just get them big enough to wear over whatever you have on. Or you could always invest in a tank bag and put your work clothes in there and change when you get to work .

When you get your bike, make sure you post some pics of your new 'pride and joy'! Trust me, the nervousness will go away (or at least not be as bad). I used to be almost terrified every time I went out, but now, I don't worry as much. I know I can ride my bike, its just the other people out there that worry me!

Good luck and take it easy out there! But have fun too!

Thanks for the info. I'll get some pics up the day I get the bike. I'm sure my facial expression when I first go out will be worth a thousand words. lol. Where is a good place to find leathers? and round about how much?

I would recommend that you at least try them on at a bike shop to see what sizes you need and then you can shop around on the net, or try ebay. The sizes are different between manufacturers and even different models/styles.

As for prices, I'm not sure on leathers but the textile jackets here in Canada are around $250.

Around here, we don't get to ride year round so right now is an awesome time to buy gear (I am hoping to get a pair of pants this weekend!) as they are trying to clear out the motorcycle stuff to make room for the snowmobile stuff.
