Hey all,

I purchased a 2001 Kawasaki Ninja 250 a few weeks ago. The previous owner removed the factory air filter casing and was using PODs. I am a bit confused on which part number is correct. Any help on the correct K&N POD air filter would be greatly appreciated.

I measured the air intake "holes" and they seem to be closer to 1.8" which is why I believe THIS is the correct part....R-0990

However, K&N's website suggests that THIS is the correct part....KA-2586

I believe is it one of these two...anyone know for sure? Thanks again.

Looks like the first one is a "Universal" unit and will fit most bikes. I would agree with you and with K&N that the KA-2586 is for your ride.

I just dont understand how an inside flange diameter of 1.25" could every fit over top of the ~1.8" outer diameter of where it would attach.
