Hello, I am retired Electronic engineer. Hav a 1990 KLR 250 that wont start. I am hoping for a suggestion of possible culprits. I will post else where for details. BTW I went the thru a number of schematics on the 250 and 650 , I discovered a some errors or perhaps just poor clarity of symbols used. Anyway I will tell more in my next post.

Hey dandober, welcome to the forums! Let's start with the easiest and simplest thing. Drain the gas tank, and the carburetor. Fresh gas and give it a go. I know this will sound like it's too simple but trust me 50% of starting issues are with bad/old gas. Even gas that is only a few weeks old left in a carb bowl can turn to garbage. Add the fact that corn gas is also bad for small motors, it's a powder-keg.
