I don't really know of many common problems for the bike.There seems to be more fuse/battery issues than with the newer, I just bought some fuses and keep them under the seat just in case. Also, the handling on these is really, really, effected by you getting the suspension set-up, if you don't it will handle like a truck. Besides that I can't think of anything right now, our bikes are exactly, 100% the same except for the bracket above your handlebars, what is that all about? What mods are done to the bike?

Honastly, i wish i could tell you im not sure it seems preatty bone stock to me, but i have no clue what the bracket is for they were on the bike when i got it.[/blockquote]

thats the support bracket for the windscreen and mirrors. its the same bracket as on my 95 zx6r

That bracket looks like some sort of vibration dampener.

without that bracket there is nothing supporting the mirrors but plastic
