Default New member rebuilding KZ1000

Hello fellow members,

I nned information on a (good) shop that will "completely" dissasembly my KZ1000, poweder coat the frame, repaint the fairings and - in general - do a compelte mechanical rebuild of the bike.

I am looking for someone reputable that knows what he/she is doing!

Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

I would prefer - if possible -someone local to the city of Los Angeles or the San Fernando Valley area.

Thanks you for your help.

welcome to KF
A good shop will get the ride mechanically sound and ready to ride and send out the body and frame for the make over. Where as a custom shop will detail, custom machine or do what ever your pocket book demands. Have you checked out the KZ rider site yet? I have seen some good work from some of the KZ owners on that site in which they may also work on others' rides.

What KZ1000 are you wanting the work on?

Default Thank you for your input

I own a 1999 KZ1000P,

Many will say that sinking money into this motorcycle is a loosing proposition, yet I have become very fond of this motorcycle.

I want to modify its colors and make it visually appealing while mechanically and electrically sound.

Whereas this is a fairly simple task; in the process I would like not be ripped off. I clearly need all the advise I can get.

Thanks you once again for your response.
