Default New Kawasaki Owner! YAY!

Hi, all!

I'm a new owner of a Kawasaki KZ750 F-1 LTD Shaft with an inline four. I love the look of the bike, and all around the 750/fours have great reviews and longevity, being produced for so long and so popular with riders. This is my first Japanese bike, too. My previous ride was a BMW R1100RS, that I loved but sold because maintenance costs were so high.

The main issue that I'm having is that the F-1 LTD Shaft is almost a ghost when it comes to info and parts that I can find on the web.

It needs a little bit of TLC to get it road ready, like fork seals and a speedo cable, but parts compatibility info is nil.

Any help from those of you who have more experience with this bike would be much welcomed, and if anyone has a shop manual, I can't seem to find the one for the shaft drive.

Thanks again, and I look forward to learning about all of you and this wonderful bike!

David,
Welcome to KF. I had an early 80's KZ750 LTD, but it was chain drive. Rode and abused the heck out of it.

Unfortunately, that's about as much as I can tell you. Kawasaki's web site used to do a good job with parts interchangeability, but they disabled that within the past few months.

We have a cycle salvage shop in town that specializes in vintage bikes and parts. You may want to look up those types of places and see what you can find.
