new interest, new experience
I have been interested in the Kawasaki Ninja 250R since I was 14, never having the opportunity to purchase one (disproving parents of anything with only two wheels). I am nowat the age where I can buy one myself and enjoy every minute of it. My boyfriend was a previous owner of one and absolutely loved it. Although he still enjoys riding his friends' 600cc, he does not want one for himself right now. Me on the other hand, cannot wait. This weekend was the first time I have gotten to ride on one and it made me even more anxious to begin looking.
I am more than excited to begin saving/looking for a used (between a 2000-2004) bike to get started on.
Bring on the bike, helmet, and forums [sm=nerd.gif].

Hey April, welcome to the forums, glad you found the place. We all know that feeling when it comes to bikes. Just one question, have you taken the bike course? My wife took it and she said that while it was tough she learned a lot and hopefully it gave her the skills to stay safe. Now I just need to get her out on the bike more. Well stick around and let us know what you end up with, and of course post a picture or two.......oh and the bike too.[8D]

Sadly, the bike hasn't been purchased yet. I just picked up the motorcycle test booklet yesterday (cannot believe how it's just a common sense test) and have glanced over it. I am going to take the first part of the test in the next couple of weeks and keep my eyes opento the classifieds and dealerships.
Thanks for all the welcomes
I'm tired of people saying girls "don't ride bikes." That's ridiculous. Just because I don't smoke cigars and contribute to the lesbian community, I'm pretty sure it's okay to own somethingthat has less thanFOUR WHEELS.
