Default New Guy GPz900

Hi There, just bought a 84 GPz900r read the sticky for new members and it got me worried. Been riding about 10 years, mostly dirtbikes, and I had a 2002 Honda shadow 750. You think the 900 was a bad choice? It's my first sportbike. Granted my Yz250 dirtbike will flip me straight over if prodded in forth gear, and I'm used to it. I'm worried cause the only experience i have on street bikes is on that Shadow that could barely move itself. (could barely crack 80MPH with a passenger) and I only had that for 2 seasons. so I have about 12 months of street experience on a cruiser and many years on mostly overpowered trail and moto bikes. ??????????

Bad choice? Those things are classics! Just take the time to get everything up to scratch and set up to suit you and you've got an old school big-bore blaster ... and they'll do a tad more then 80mph two up when in decent condition, too

Welcome to KF

As mentioned, get that ride setup. ie tires, brakes and suspension to suit you. Relax, and enjoy the new ride. Any new ride needs getting adjusted to, so take your time. Congrats on the new ride.
