HELLO!! i joined this forums hoping to educate myself as much as i can before i by my 1st bike. Ever since i heard the CBR600RR was impractiacl for city driving I took a look atthe 2008 Ninja 250R and i feel in love with the looks. My ONLY motorcycle experience has been on a Honda 100 XR dirt bike , which I can jump ramps with and use the clutch and all that jazz just fine. I think if i get a 250R i will out grow it fast as i plan on driving it as a secondary driver as my mustang is killing me on gas. I want to make my mustang the weekend fun. So a 250 seems to be FUN , gas effective and AFFORDABLE but will I outgrow it? I have a thirst for speed and excitement. I wont to spend around 4K so i figured if i REALLY wanted i could get a used 500cc bike.

Welcome dude. Get the bigger bike and just take it easy for a while.
