Default My First Bike

After years of my father trying to get me to ride his Harley, I've decided to learn to ride. I've purchased the 650R as my first bike since it will be something I can ride for several years. If anyone has any suggestions on where I can get gear at a good price I would appreciate it. Otherwise I just thought I would say Hello to everyone.

Hey, welcome to the forums bro. Inexpensive gear sites would probably be www.newenough.com or www.bikebandit.com. Those are the two I've looked at so far. Gear up and keep em two wheels down (but if you ever do wheelie a Harley I'd sure as hell love to see that!)

Sweet!!!! Welcome to the forums! You have got to post some pics of your bike - if I could swing buying a new bike, the 650R would definately be sitting in my shed!!!

What color did you get?

hey hey

Have fun, and be safe. If you haven't taken the MSF course yet, I'd suggest taking that, even though you have ridden before.

www.imotorcyclestore.com also has some good stuff.

I will post pics tomorrow evening, it's kinda dark out now. It is the black version of the 650R. I was able to get my learners license today and finally ride it on the streets. I'm trying to keep it under 4,000 RPM for the break in period, so I can't really get over 40 mph. My father is just happy to see me on a bike, doesn't that seem odd? I plan on keeping the wheels down, this bike is going to be babied. I'm also planning on taking the Safety course soon, in the mean time I will keep practicing in my neighborhood. Thanks for all the replies and, again, I will get pics posted soon.
