kx 60 problems

Default kx 60 problems

hi there i just brought a kx 60 and rid it when it was cold and it ran fine so i brought it, i took it down the fields and now when it gets hot it splutters and wont hit high range revs (powervalve) etc,

ive cleaned plug and i have cleaned the carb can someone help me please, i will be very greatful

Hey Shane, welcome to the forums. it could be a number of things, bad gas, gas mix is wrong, power reed mught be broke, you could have low compression from a hole in the piston, although it would be pretty hard to start to begin with. Perhaps the coil is having issues. Its kind of hard to diagnose on a forum, but if you can provide more informaton. Is it a water cooled bike, what year is it. Throw up a picture if you can and give is a blow by blow on what exactly is happening.

It does sound like you may be overheating at the moment. Just a thought to check out your stat and pump impeller. Let us know on the progress.
