we got those smog regulations here as well...probably even worse then in the US.
but the AR50 is from `94 and then those regulations were just ideas.

and the reason the AR50 is here, well...when you`re 16 yrs you can get a moped license and then you`re restricted to 50cc.
that`s also why there are a LOT of 50cc scooters here.
the law here is almost anti-bikers so you can`t get you drivers license untill you`re 18.
you can get any car you want, no matter how fast it is...but if you get your motorcycle-license then you can only get a 25Kw (around 33hp) bike for 2 years...after that you get the "full" license and then you can get any bike you want.
unless your 24...then you can get any bike you want, cause then you`ll get a "full" license no matter what.
