how to check if frame is bent
Hi, i am going to buy a 06 ninja 250 that has been layed down. How can i check if the frame is bent? how can i tell if the forks are bent? and what do i need to check for on my test drive?
Any dings or creases to the frame? You can check the obvious stuff, sit on the ride and make sure that the bars are straight and that the front wheel is pointed forward. Generally a low speed low side is not that detrimental to the frame.

It's common for the forks to twist in the yolks and for the bars and forks to be out of line as a result. This is a 5 minute fix. The only way to assess the fork stanchions is to strip them and use a straight edge or surface table. If the suspension moves properly it's probably OK.
If you can't see anything obvious on the frame, that's also probably OK. The only way to be sure is to strip the bike and set the frame in a jig, but that's really going a bit too far.

Welcome to the forums, a good inspection to the bike will tell you a lot. Look under the bike, and look for any wear signs that might have been covered up. Other than that not sure.
