Hi guys my name is Brendan I'm for the st Louis area and I ride a 1982 Gpz550. It just had a fresh repaint stage 3 jets pod filters and a 4-1 exhaust, it's a fun bike and I enjoy it.

 

Welcome, Brendan! Always glad to hear about guys riding classic iron. The "standard" style bikes do many things well. I think they are excellent bikes to refine riding chops (even for experienced riders) because they don't give you illusory skills. The guys like Wes Cooley, Lawson, Schwantz, Spencer, Merkel, who raced the upright monsters back in the day, had the POWER but didn't have the geometry. Sportbikes changed all that.
