I am kinda new to off road bikes but, not new to motorcycles. I have an 06 Harley 1200 custom. I know don't throw anything at me. I love my bike, its all about riding and enjoying the freedom it gives you. Anyway, I used to ridedirtbikeswhen I was younger. I have a son now that is 11 years old who has just recently started riding as well. I will be getting him a KLX 110 as soon as I can find one at one of the local dealers. He has been riding the neighbors XR70. I also want to get back into riding offroad with him so I hope to be getting the new KLX250S.

Welcome to the forums, and trust me nobody is going to razz you about the Harley, I mean we all secretly would love to have one, or at least ride one once. And good choice on the KLX. Yes the moles are in full force. Have fun, and post up a ride report with you and your son when you get a chance.

 

I am not against all Harley riders, just the ones who own a harley just so that they can tell everyone that they are bikers. You sound like you actually love riding yours so no problems there. I would like to have a d/p or motocross bike again as well, so I understand completely man. Welcome to KF

or those harley a holes who wont even look at you if your on a sport biike you know how many times i looked stupid cuz i tried to wave and they give you a dirty look i hate that there just jelous cuz my bike cost half the price for three times the speedit like harleys and will own one when i to old to ride rockets

 

Thanks for the welcome, yes I know the kind of Harley riders you are referring to and the guys my wife and ride with are cool as heck. We love all bikes because we are all doing what we love, riding a motorcycle. We have a group of about 40 people mostly couples that we ride with and everyone is super nice. My neighbor told me he topped out his 600 sport bike at 180mph th other day. I told him that was to fast for me at the ripe old age of 40.
