Hello everyone
I'm new here and new to bikes. I figured a forum like this would be the best place for info. I finally got around to buying my first bike(88 EX500) two years after I took the MSF. Thats the only riding I've done so far. Miami, FL

RE: Hello everyone
Eventually after I've ridden this one for a while. I was told not to get anything too fast or expensive at first. And before I start riding this one I have to do a little work on it. Something about a starter clutch.

Welcome to the forums bro. Lots of knowledge running around this place, tons of fun and interesting people too. We are also blessed to have the finest ladies on two wheels on this forum, just remember to tip your hat, be polite and say yes ma'am and all will be well.
Wear your gear and remember, the wheels go on the bottom, hehe.

Yeah, I was told the 1000 1000 rule. Dont spend more than one thousand on your first bike. Cause the more you spend on it the more you will regret dropping it. And ride it for a thousand miles so you have enough experience on the road to handle a faster bike. It sounded like a good idea to me.

RE: Hello everyone
SHE WORKS!!!! Finally after two weeks of frustration. I just finished replacing the fuel lines, before which I replaced the starter clutch, spark plugs, and took apart the carbs to clean them. I just finished at 10 pm. When she fired up so easily it surprised the crap out of me, and I couldnt help but go for a ride. Night time might not be the best time to go for my first ride in 2 years, but I dont care cause it works. Sorry for being a little excited. I cant wait till tomorrow.
